How We Use Your Information

When you submit information expressing interest in an ongoing or future study through an online form, email or phone call, we typically collect the following personal identifying information:

  • your name,

  • email address,

  • phone number and

  • sometimes mailing address.

  • we may also collect information related to a diagnosis or treatment course.

We use your name and email address to let you know about opportunities to take surveys and to provide new updates about opportunities that may be of interest you. Generally, you  are notified about an opportunity to take a survey several times per year. We use mailing addresses to mail honorarium payments to members who have completed surveys or interviews. We may need to share your contact information with trusted vendors in order to process payments for participating in studies.

We use phone numbers to return calls to answer a question or address any concerns. On rare occasions, we may call to validate information or answers to survey questions. If a member has agreed to participate in a telephone interview, we use the phone number provided for the call. We always tell you in advance if we will be sharing your information. We may also send brief emails several times a year to provide information of interest and to express our appreciation for their participation or to confirm you would like to remain in our participant database.

How We Do Not Use your Information
We do not and will not sell, rent, barter, lend or disseminate your personal information or contact information to any other person or company. We will not use your information to attempt to sell you anything or promote things other than what you have consented to receive.
